DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Burchfield Penney Art Center for a unique concert experience complementing IN THE FULLNESS OF TIME\, PAINTING IN BUFFALO\, 1832-1972\, an exhibition in the Center’s East Gallery focusing on important works and painters whose work had a lasting impact on the art and artists of the region. Likewise\, our concert program explores composers with musical connections to Buffalo and Western New York. Bach & Brews is modeled after concerts held in the early 18th century by Johann Sebastian Bach at Café Zimmermann in Leipzig\, a bustling cultural and culinary establishment that saw the premiere of many of Bach’s secular works. \nBach & Brews presents music by Bach and other Baroque masters along with more contemporary works. Experience these musical masterpieces in a relaxed\, fun atmosphere while enjoying great food\, drinks\, and camaraderie. \nMusic starts at 7 pm and continues for about 2 hours. Bach & Brews is open to the public\, with a suggested donation of $15 at the door which includes a complimentary beer or wine. Seating is open to first come\, first serve\, so please be prompt.
